Learning how to reduce and manage our stress is very crucial. Because stress can affect our physical, and emotional well-being and how we react and behave! We are living in trying times witch means that there are stress and tension all around us. That being said stress is not all bad in some cases stress can help us get through our everyday lives. “Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax” Mark Black

Relaxation: is the state of being free from tension and anxiety.

Taking time to relax isn’t just about achieving tranquility. It also helps reduce the stress that’s cluttering your everyday life experiences. Stress has also been linked to numerous health complications, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, heart attacks, and stroke. So carefully consider using these soothing relaxation tools to boost your overall well-being

Here are 5 effective tips to help you all to relax and enjoy what life has to offer

1. Focus on your breathing- you can use time breathing breath in through your nose for 5 seconds and then let it all out.

2. Meditation – you can always use an app to help! Both calm, and headspace.com have helped me to relax after some pretty stressful days.

3. Progressive muscle relaxation (tighten and relax your muscles throughout your body), you can use a small stress ball squeezing it 10 to 15 times every hour or so.

4. Visualization – Paint a pitcher in your mind of a relaxing place and focus on the details. This can include your dream vacation, your dream home, and yard, mountains, or the beach whatever fits you best.

5. Take a mindful moment to yourself and enjoy your surroundings, keep your focus on the plants, the trees, the sunshine, or even your crush...

If you allow stress to overpower your ability to focus, it can make it difficult to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. Going through some if not all of these relaxation routines can help give you something else to focus on, allowing your mind a chance to clear, and restart.

Relaxation Benefits:

If your mussels tense up when you become angry or frustrated it is a sign of stress, and relaxation techniques can help you loosen those muscles and feel calmer.

It can also lower your blood pressure- as your breathing becomes slower it helps your body to slow down other functions. As your heart rate slows, your overall blood pressure begins to lower. Relaxation can also help you to build a positive support system around you, your coworkers, and your friends.

There are many simple and affordable ways to create a little calm in your life you can listen to music, take a walk, read a book, be creative, talk to a friend, exercise, take a hot bath, or whatever helps you to release the stress from your mind and body.
